Dan T.
Private tutor in Seattle, WA
Education
I'm in my Junior year at Seattle Pacific University completing a degree in theology and political science. I have also attended classes North Seattle Community College, Bellevue Community College, and Shoreline Community College. Plus, I have completed the technical coursework at the Seattle Film Institute.
Experience
In high school I was a slacker. I was very smart but not very motivated. I loved learning and using knowledge, but didn't care too much about homework. I didn't have the best grades, but I got by with high c's/low b's by doing almost no homework and acing the tests. After graduation I entered the job market, then went to film school. Film is something that I love, but I feel that to affect change in the world I would be better of with a college degree. So now I have returned to school. I have the qualities of a great tutor because I love to learn and teach. I have spent the last decade working at a preschool, where the children love to learn and have a thousand questions, but to teach them effectively I need to be able to explain things in multiple ways, and quickly. Like I was saying, I love to learn, I get excited by knowledge and want to pass that excitement on to anyone around me. Also, did I mention that I have a genius level IQ? So in conclusion, I am a former slacker who truly enjoys knowledge and learning. And has the ability to make it fun.

Hobbies
As I mentioned in that crazy long piece I wrote for my experience, I went to film school and enjoy making short films when I can. Also, I enjoy reading, making music (Guitar & Bass), and learning to cook. I would like to say that I enjoy video games, but I have just been to dang busy in the last year to play many. Also, I volunteer time during the summer to help lead youth summercamps.
