Private tutor in Seattle, WA

Education

UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON, SEATTLE Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in English/Creative Writing Minor in Classical Studies Magna cum laude GPA: 3.91

Experience

I've been tutoring, both professionally and through nonprofits, for many years now. I've worked with K-12 students in the Seattle Public Schools, as well as Seattle-area independent schools through a private tutoring company. I've also worked with college students at the University of Washington and surrounding community colleges, using holistic tutoring strategies. I have interned for Seattle Arts & Lectures's Writers in the Schools Program, as well as volunteered as a writer for the International Rescue Committee, creating newsletter stories about our refugee clients. Currently, I work as a freelance tutor and writer. I write for several organizations, including education companies where I create academic content such as literature study guides. My poetry has been published in several local literary journals. *My hourly rate is on a sliding scale, depending on location, circumstances, etc. Contact me to discuss!
