I have tutored off and on for the past ten years. Before transferring to the University of Washington to study English, I majored in psychology. Being a psych major gave me the unique experience of teaching a biweekly lab section of introductory psychology. I developed lesson plans, administered and graded quizzes and exams, and was available for tutoring students who needed extra help. I also briefly taught introductory piano before beginning my university education. I have informally tutored Spanish, Portuguese, algebra, and writing (including conducting literary research, developing a thesis, and writing structure). I have always found tutoring/teaching to be a profoundly rewarding experience and I look forward to making a career out of teaching!
