Experience
I am a non-native, but fluent, Spanish speaker who is enthusiastic about fostering bilingualism in our community. Becoming fluent in Spanish has greatly expanded my communicative potential and enriched my life in ways that I never imagined, and I want to share that gift with others. Below I have listed my relevant experiences and qualifications that will ultimately help me help you (or your child) to learn the Spanish language: - 2008: Scored in the 95th percentile on the National Spanish Exam - Fall 2009: Taught conversational Spanish to elderly community members as part of my university's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute - Spring and Summer of 2010: Lived and studied for 6 months in Cordoba, Argentina - Throughout college career: Took several high level Spanish Language, Literature, and Cultural courses (not including those taken in Argentina)

Hobbies
I enjoy coming up with fun games and mnemonic devices for remembering conjugation rules and tough vocabulary words. I will approach tutoring you or your child with a smile, a sense of humor, and an intimate understanding of the struggles you may face in learning your new language. I am passionate about salsa dancing and continue to interact with the Latino community here in Seattle through that hobby. I speak Spanish and help friends with their Spanish at every chance I get. I love to read and write, and I am constantly seeking to expand my Spanish skills by exposure to all forms of media, including the news, novels, movies, and music.
