Education

I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Computational Neurobiology with honors and a 3.8 GPA. My intent is to go to graduate school in the field of neuroscience, though I'm still figuring out my exact educational path.

Experience

I worked in laboratories throughout my entire career at the University of Washington (UW) and averaged above a 3.9 on all biology related courses (including my neurobiology courses). Although I do not have any recorded hours tutoring officially, I would often tutor my peers in my neurobiology classes prior to tests and saw noticable improvement on their test scores on those occasions. I also took AP Biology in high school and scored a 5 on the exam and enjoyed tutoring my peers at that time as well. This is all to say I have deep understanding of biology at all levels of education to the end of undergraduate (and likely beyond through my research though it was not official coursework). Besides biology, I also scored a 5 on the AP Calculus test, and a 4 on the AP Physics test, as well as received a 3.9 in calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra so I feel confident in my math skills at all levels up to the end of undergraduate. Beyond my coursework I thoroughly enjoy helping others learn and enjoy seeing that I have helped them come to an understanding of subject material that they were previously lacking. I am also currently working on a project with some PhD students to design a gaming platform for the rehabilitation of individuals after injuring their upper limb through accidents such as stroke, spinal cord injury, or occupational health injuries. As such, my intent in becoming a tutor is to help people learn, but also to help pay for my living expenses while we work towards receiving funding.
