I very much enjoy working with math, and love to take the concepts involved with the subject to show others how we use them in the real world. I particularly enjoy doing the same with physics concepts. I am able to take a problem that may be difficult and help students look at it from a number of different angles in order to solve it. I believe this is one of my strengths as a tutor. Since everyone learns in a different way, I try to figure out if a student is struggling with a particular way of understanding a problem so I can find a way of teaching it from a different angle to come up a method the student will understand more readily.I am able to tutor students in a number of different math subjects, including elementary and middle school math, algebra, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and statistics, to name a few. I am also comfortable helping students with standardized test preparation for the PSAT and SAT. I can also work with students on their essay writing and editing skills, and help them learn study skills and organization techniques.I am a 2012 graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. I finished my collegiate career with a cumulative GPA of 3.6.In my free time, I enjoy computer programming, electronics, and computer gaming.
