Experience

As a teaching technique, I enjoy opening a dialogue with my students. Learning is a journey that can be accomplished through conversation between student and teacher. I want my students to find the joy in discovery, and increase their confidence along with their knowledge of the subject matter. I primarily tutor in the areas of the arts and humanities. In secondary school, I earned an International Baccalaureate diploma which involved completing an extended essay about drama, and I am able to tutor these subjects as well. Currently, I am in training to be a Teaching Apprentice at the Seattle Children's Theatre. I attended Washington University in St. Louis and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama. I live in Seattle, Washington. I tutor the subjects of English, Writing, Literature, Reading, Phonics, College Essays, IB Extended Essay, IB Theatre HL, IB Theatre SL, IB Theory of Knowledge, Public Speaking, test prep for the PSAT and SAT, European History, American History, AP United States History, IB History HL, IB History SL, Social Studies, Elementary Math, Arithmetic, Algebra, Middle School Math, and Psychology. In my spare time, I enjoy drama, improv, and horseback riding.
