I am a second-year student at the Seattle campus of the University of Washington, where I am working to complete a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neurobiology. I have tutored students in elementary and middle school grades since high school.My experiences as a camp counselor for elementary students, a piano teacher, and as a tutor have helped me to understand and work well with my tutoring clients. My style of tutoring is individualized; I take the time to gauge what is working and find teaching techniques that do work instead of continuing with what does not. I've also found that questioning my students and helping them find answers seems to help them understand the topics at hand.I have a goal for every student I work with, and that is to break down the concepts of the subject we are working on to ensure that each student will retain the knowledge and be able to put it to good use in the future.During my free time, I enjoy running and all outdoor activities; I also play the piano. I am currently a resident of Seattle, Washington.
