Experience
I am currently an engineering student at Seattle Pacific University, and I have become quite knowledgeable in upper level chemistry, physics, math, and other STEM courses. Math is a subject I know quite well, and can tutor students in geometry, pre-calculus, all levels of calculus, pre-algebra, and all levels of algebra. Beyond that, I am also well-versed in tutoring other subjects, such as public speaking, writing, essay writing, editing, literature, and the Latin language. I also enjoy helping students with standardized test preparation for a number of portions of the PSAT, SAT, and ACT.I have been tutoring other students since I was in high school. During that time, I served as a Latin tutor for younger students. I used many different techniques to help the students learn, such as making flashcards for them to practice with and giving them quizzes to keep their knowledge sharp. Since I have gone to college, I have learned to use methods that my own teachers have used, and I pass those methods along to my students in our tutoring sessions.When I'm not studying or helping others do the same, I enjoy woodworking, building computers, longboarding, and snowboarding.
