Experience
I hold degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Dance from a top University. I am currently working as a software engineer, but continue to perform on the side. I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the biggest names in dance locally, including Rachael Lincoln, Wade Madsen, and Mark Haim. In addition, I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring. In college, I served as a teaching assistant for a digital signal processing class, and was ranked among the best teachers in the College of Engineering. I was instrumental in the first "hackathon" in San Francisco which was designed to teach junior high school, high school, and young college students coding. I have also tutored students in Computer Science and Mathematics, and have taught Dance to teenagers. I greatly enjoy teaching these subjects that are near and dear to my heart, as it allows me to play a role in advancing the next generation beyond my own. I believe that any student can learn any subject if he can visualize the concept, and that this visualization depends on the student's particular learning style. During the tutoring process, I assist the student in identifying that style. This knowledge is important in establishing a successful tutoring relationship, but will also be important for the student as he moves beyond our tutoring sessions and into new classes and material. When I'm not working, I enjoy yoga, choreography, further studying dance, coding, and playing the piano.
