Experience
I grew up without great access to math and science education, yet at 27, with a only a GED and a middling grade in College Algebra from 12 years prior, I took on the challenge of teaching myself math and put myself through college, earning a degree in Physics with a 3.6 GPA. So, I very personally know what it's like to come from behind in math and make the grade. After some years in industry, I went on to get my Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Collectively I took 19 college-level math classes, including substantial work in Applied Math in order to get both degrees. After taking on tutoring my own kids in primary mathematics, I realized how rewarding it is, and what a difference focused education can make. So, now it's my turn to help out those who need a boost to do great things.

Hobbies
Father of two child prodigies (I may be a little biased). I have a strong interest in design as well as engineering, and I love for all-things-nautical. I love designing and building things, from boats to composting toilets to x-ray spectrometers. I also love reading and writing--not something you hear from all engineers.
