Experience
I have over ten years' experience studying German, from middle school through to university (at various times, I have been told by native speakers that I speak with either a Bavarian or an Austrian accent). I have two and a half years' experience studying Japanese at the university level. I have a wide and deep knowledge of history from all parts of the world, but I am most specialized in East Asian history, particularly Japanese history. I have taken multiple university writing proficiency courses, and am very experienced at writing research papers. I have a vast knowledge of geography. I also have extensive acting experience.

Hobbies
I have traveled internationally on multiple occasions. I have visited Canada, Ireland, Thailand, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Japan. It has been several years since I have been able to travel internationally, and I look forward to doing so again. I enjoy reading books, both fiction and non-fiction, and I particularly enjoy learning new bits of history that I had never heard of before (for a few years as a child, reading the Encyclopedia Britannica was a favorite hobby of mine). I also enjoy writing (primarily fiction but occasionally non-fiction as well). I enjoy acting in plays, and want to get back into acting and public performance as a hobby. I also enjoy working out, usually with weights but sometimes just doing a lot of pushups, situps, free squats, and the like. I also have a lifelong interest in martial arts. Since I was very young, I have been fascinated with ancient myths, legends, and history. In my early childhood, my main interests were ancient Egypt and Greece, particularly the Homeric myths. I gradually became more interested in Japanese history, which eventually broadened to the history of all Asia. I developed more of an interest in European history, African history, and American history (both North and South) during and after university. I have an amateur interest in linguistics, although I did also take a few classes in it at university.
