I received a BA in English Literature with a concentration in fiction writing from Skidmore College in 2007. In 2011, I taught myself Python and decided that computer science was for me. In 2015, I completed a Fullstack JavaScript certificate from Code Fellows in Seattle. Currently I am an online CS student at Oregon State University.

I have taught continuing education courses in web development using Python and JavaScript to teenagers and adults. I am currently a freelance developer working for several clients at the University of Washington. Previously, I was a software developer at Microsoft working at the Garage on Hackbox, Microsoft's internal Hackathon platform. Before that, I worked as a software developer at Trade Tech, a supply-chain information management company serving the global shipping industry. Additionally, I've worked as a systems administrator and web developer at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Boston, MA where I supporting neuroscientists and psychiatrists with data management and user interface design.

I spend quite a bit of my free time trying to figure out how to build my own instruments whether virtual or physical. I also love to play soccer, read history, fiction and philosophy, as well as wrestle with my Boston Terrier, Eli. When I'm not doing those things, I am usually either watching international films or discovering new comedians.
