Experience

Experience tutoring undergraduate and AP computer science, AP Calculus, AP Physics B and C, and teaching music and music theory. I'm super super passionate about music and music theory, as well as science/math and computer science! I learn best myself by teaching others and absolutely love guiding others to unlocking their potential and discovering the joy in all these areas. Back in my high school days, I scored 5s on my AP Music Theory, Calculus, Physics, and Computer Science exams, and would regularly help students with these subjects I enjoyed so much. I was particularly adept with music theory and computer science - often being picked to explain concepts to the class at large. I continued tutoring in college, working as a tutor with the College of Computing, and less formally helping students in Fundamentals of Musicianship classes. Today, I work for Amazon as a Software Engineer :) and I've been fueling my passion for music ever since. I've composed pieces for orchestra, written and produced several original songs, directed a collegiate a cappella group, and won awards for collegiate a cappella arranging. I love spreading the joy I have for music and tech through teaching and helping others and would love to be your tutor!

Hobbies

Music, technology, philosophy, and art make up my life. I work as a software engineer for Amazon by day, and switch gears into a musician at night :) at Amazon, I work on Amazon Prime Video, implementing client-side features with experience with web and Android development, as well as some server side experience as well. On the music front, I'm a composer, arranger, producer, singer and instrumentalist. I've had formal training in piano, violin, as well as North Indian classical (Hindustani) vocal music. I have a pretty extensive background in music theory and application, having directed a collegiate a cappella group and arranged music for other groups on campus, winning intercollegiate a cappella awards in the process. I love music theory - the nuts and bolts that go into making music what it is are super fascinating to me, and I really enjoy teaching others what those parts are and how they all work together. Above all, I really enjoy teaching - whether it was my friends in high school, music students, or fellow college students. Sharing what I know and love allows gives me great joy and helps me to learn more about these subjects and other people as well! Let's get in touch and see where I might be able to help you out!
