Experience
As Director of the UW's English Department Writing Center from 2004-2009, I taught a 400-level course in writing and tutoring pedagogy, training all tutors who worked in the writing center to work with writers in all subject areas. I've also tutored for five years in the UW's English Department Writing Center. Now an independent tutor, I enjoy meeting new people and helping them get their ideas down in writing they can feel proud of. I've published twelve works of short fiction and won the Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction. I continue to write and publish today.
