Carrie K.
Private tutor in Seattle, WA
Education
I am a recent graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I attended my first year of undergrad at Wheaton College in Wheaton Illinois before transferring to Bethel for my last three years of education. I graduated with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies with a minor in Biology. Throughout my years, I studied some Spanish and psychology as well.
Experience
During my high school years: I received a 29 on my ACT and also received the WIAA scholar-athlete award. I would love to tutor middle school or high school aged students. I excelled in math, particularly algebra, and Spanish. I love to teach and love to help people understand general concepts and grasp the bigger picture. During my college years: I was a cross-cultural tutor for one year in Minneapolis. During this year, I taught English to University students. While on the soccer team at Bethel, along with all-conference titles for athletic performance, I also received academic all-conference awards. Post-college years: I recently accepted an AmeriCorps position in Seattle. Throughout this year-long committment, I will be working in a high school (most likely in West Seattle) as a mentor and tutor.
