Currently live in Japan (just outside Tokyo), but am home in Seattle for 3 months (starting mid Oct. 2012). Professional Japanese to English freelance translator and tutor. I've studied Japanese in some form or another since I was 12 years old at McClure Junior High School. I know how it feels to be a student of this intricate, yet awesome, language. I also taught English in Japan for 12 years before becoming a translator, so I know a good bit about education and what sort of pitfalls to avoid.
