Tutored as a Mathlete Coach in Tacoma during the 2011-2012 school year. Taught English classes to kids over 4 months in Mexico and Spain. I want to be a tutor because I think that I want to pursue a career as a teacher one day and I enjoy helping people grasp concepts that they have trouble with on their own. Relevant classes: Math: Through Multivariable calculus, introduction to proofs, statistics. Spanish: Spanish Linguistics, numerous Spanish Language courses, Spanish culture and literature courses, Latin American culture and literature courses. Study Away Experience: México: I studied away in Oaxaca, México from September-December 2012. There I studied the Spanish Language and immersed myself in the Mexican Culture. Spain: I studied away in Granada, Spain from January-May 2011. While in Spain, I studied Spain's history at great length, as well as taking several classes on the Spanish Language and the influence of the Moors in Spain.
