Teaching Experience: -My informal teaching experience started in 2003, when I tutored struggling students at my high school during study hall. -I have 7 years of teaching experience in the healthcare sector. My students ranged from 7 year old children to nursing students. -I was chosen from a class of over 500 to be the Teaching Assistant for Statistics 101 the subsequent semester (2007). -I volunteer tutored refugee children with limited English skills (2008). -I completed tutoring training for ESL adult literacy (2009). Testing Scores: -I scored above the 90th percentile on the quantitative and verbal sections of the GRE. I achieved a score of 720 in quantitative. -I scored a 32 on the ACT with a 35 on the English test. Why I Teach: -Through social work training and teaching experience, I have developed a great deal of patience for struggling students. I believe I have a gift for understanding unique learning styles and personal strengths and catering towards those traits. -At my core, I'm a coach. I feel most satisfied when I know I've helped someone achieve a goal.
