Mckenzie A.

Private tutor in Seattle, WA

Education

Graduated as Biology major from Seattle Pacific University in 2013. GPA 3.44.

Experience

I was a Teacher's Assistant for Biology classes where I had to run labs and help students learn complicated biological concepts. I have also had experience working with elementary and middle school aged children with the YMCA. I was a freshman mentor as an upper classman in both high school and college, so I have experience helping students to succeed one-on-one and being a support system for students. I want to be a tutor because I am passionate about the sciences and education. My ultimate goal is to be a high school Biology teacher. I want to share my passions and knowledge with others because I value learning. I believe that every student has the ability to be successful but sometimes it takes a little extra work and I am willing to put in work to see students succeed. I have taken many Math, Biology, and Chemistry classes in college and I am competent in these areas.

Hobbies

I love being outdoors and spent a lot of my summer camping, hiking, and swimming. I also love sports and participate in co-ed softball and football teams in Seattle. Watching and rooting for the Mariners and Seahawks is also a passion of mine! When I can't go outside or to a game, I love watching movies and playing board games.
