Experience
I am a passionate, enthusiastic writer in possession of a Master degree in the Humanities, as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fiction Writing, with extensive experience working with students on a one-on-one basis, particularly in the subjects of English Composition and Writing. At the City Colleges of Chicago, where I worked as an Instructor of Humanities and English Composition, I developed and taught a six-credit Reading and Composition course, English 098/099, at the pre-college level. I am pleased and thrilled for my students, who achieved a 91% success rate of passing forward to English 100. My love of tutoring originates from my own experience as a young person, receiving invaluable help from mentors who guided me through my unique learning challenges, inspiring me to excel beyond what I thought myself capable. Hobbies
I am a fiction writer recently arrived in Seattle after completing my MFA in fiction writing at Indiana University, Bloomington, where I taught Creative Writing and English Composition to undergraduates. I was drawn to the rich landscape of the Pacific Northwest, which I find inspires my artistic output immensely. I also love singing and the piano, as well as exploring and hiking through this mystical part of the world.
