I have my MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Washington Bothell (GPA 3.9) and my BA degree in Anthropology from the University at Buffalo (GPA 3.0).

Experience

I was a writing tutor for my first academic year as an MFA graduate student at the University of Washington Bothell's Writing and Communication Center. I did one-on-one sessions face-to-face, online and over the phone. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping students improve upon their work. I also offer editing services, which are different from tutoring services. I am a former anthropologist and I spent several years working with monkeys and I have a number of scientific publications in reputable academic journals. I have been accepted to a number of graduate programs, one of which was overseas. Both my fiction and nonfiction have been published in print and online media. In my most recent professional position I drafted scripts for promotional videos that I produced, filmed and edited using FCPX. I'm easy going and I have a great sense of humor, so tutoring sessions are effective and fun.
