Oberlin College - BA, English and Comparative American Studies

I earned degrees in comparative American studies and English from Oberlin College. I was able to graduate with high honors. I've been tutoring and teaching for the past five years in a wide variety of subjects, but my favorites are composition and writing. In college, I was a teaching assistant and writing tutor, and I had the opportunity to work with students from an array of educational backgrounds. I enjoy helping students develop arguments, decide upon their thesis, and overall helping them build a well structured essay. I believe every student has unique perspective to bring to writing, and it's up to me as the tutor to assist them in finding and expressing their voice. I am looking forward to tutoring students in algebra, geometry, social studies, elementary and middle school math topics, comparative literature, Spanish, reading, ESL, history, and of course writing. When I have free time, I enjoy working on music production and audio engineering, cooking, printmaking, riding my bike, and reading.
