Experience
I can honestly say that I am in love with math and science. Accordingly, I very much enjoy teaching and helping students to master these (sometimes difficult) subjects. It is my belief that these amazing subjects can in fact be taught in a manner that allows for them to be both fun and comprehensible, but without the daunting imposition. At the moment, I am a pre-pharmacy student studying chemistry at The University of California at Davis. I presently divide my resources between studying and working in a research lab focused on organic chemistry. My appreciation for learning (especially math and science) began in high school, and it has only expanded since then. Previously, my tutoring background has been primarily composed of, unsurprisingly, different areas of math and science. My specialties include elementary school math and middle school math, with an emphasis on algebra. Students have also responded very well to my teaching methods where trigonometry and geometry are concerned. Calculus has proven to be another success. But, I strive to keep a balance between my academic pursuits and my personal time. I really enjoy staying fit with a good game of volleyball. The outdoors proves to be another great adventure, whether with hiking or camping.
