Experience
During my time studying at university, I got my first taste of tutoring when I helped my fellow peers study for their AP exams in World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government, Comparative Government, English Language, and English Literature. After this experience, I am hungry for more and I'm eager to continue tutoring. I hold a double major in History and Law, Societies and Justice with a minor in Human Rights from the University of Washington. In my spare time, I volunteer with AmeriCorps through Community for Youth, mentoring high school kids studying out of Seattle. The subjects I enjoy teaching most are public speaking, English, and history, with the main focus of my studies being the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement, and social movements in general. Throughout university, I served in the Model United Nations and volunteered extensively through community development projects. Today, I act as the Director General of the Washington State Model United Nations, which is one of the largest Model United Nations conferences of all the high schools in the U.S. In my time off, I enjoy volunteering for local emergency shelters, transitional housing programs, and food banks. I also love to dance, cook, and follow the news.
