Private tutor in Seattle, WA
Ohio State University - BA, Philosophy
Because of the wide variety of subjects I have been lucky enough to study during my education, I am able to take on students struggling with many different subjects. This also enables me to relate one area of difficulty to another area from a different subject the student may be familiar with. I believe that education should enable us to look at the bigger picture, rather than confining us to one subject of expertise. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with minors in German Language and Music Composition from Ohio State University. Some of my fondest memories from my time at Ohio State are of the many hours I spent as a peer tutor, helping students with all kinds of mathematics problems, from calculus to pre-algebra. During this time, I also managed to obtain a Level II certification from the Collegiate Reading and Learning Association. I would say that my specialties are AP Calculus and AP Physics, as well as math in general, although my highest degree of training was achieved in philosophy. It is my goal to further my education in the areas of public policy and affairs, as well as environmental sustainability. I also spent time working for a non-profit organization developing alternative fuels. I am a huge sports enthusiast.
