Experience
I received my degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Ohio State University and was fortunate enough to spend a part of my time at the university working as an assistant to the instructors of that department. This opportunity gave me the unique chance to see learning from both sides of the equation - as a student and a teacher. This has a tremendous impact on my personal teaching style. I realized the importance of taking a unique and individualized approach to adapt to my students and to understand that everyone I tutor requires a slightly different approach. It taught me to make my teaching style about the students instead of working towards my own strengths. It also inspired me to pass on a sense of being a self-starter and to treat learning as a lifelong journey. I believe that once a student sees learning as an opportunity and not a chore the possibilities are endless. I currently work for a company creating online classroom settings that allow for younger students to begin the process of self learning and expanding their knowledge. I personally have many interests outside of my studies and work, including musical studies, composing songs, and I have a strong passion for reading.
