Experience

I believe in giving all of my clients my best. For me, this means employing personalized teaching and understanding a student's requirements and personal goals. When I work with a student, I work hard at being a great listener. I make sure that my students don't just go through the motions, but have an understanding of why an answer is the answer. This way, they gain skills and knowledge that can be applied to future learning, not just answers to individual questions.I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Macalester College, a private liberal arts college located in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have also completed two years of graduate studies in education at Hamline University. I deeply enjoy working as a tutor. I have two years of experience tutoring students ranging from kindergarteners to high school seniors. I'm able to help students with algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, chemistry, and Spanish. I am also able to help students taking AP Chemistry and preparing for the SAT subject test in Physics. In my free time, I enjoy writing, sci-fi, and the theater.
