I am an eager and conversational language teacher. My students would describe me as having a positive and patient personality. I am also willing to learn from my students, which creates a comfortable learning environment for all. I was born in China, and I grew up speaking standard Mandarin. Introducing others to the Chinese culture, and teaching the Mandarin language, are passions of mine. Teaching language arts and culture is my professional strength. It is fulfilling for me to share my culture with others. I completed my undergraduate studies at Wuhan University. During college, I was granted the opportunity to tutor other students in mathematics, Chinese, and English. I tutored at my school for over a year and a half, and enjoyed the experience. My engaging tutoring style developed through my college years. Students who work with me appreciate my comprehensive style. Recently, I earned my master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington Evans School of Public Affairs. When I am not teaching, tutoring, or pursuing my own academic studies, I enjoy many different hobbies. These include dancing, reading, and singing. I also play lots of different sports like badminton, swimming, roller skating, and snowboarding.
