(2011-2014) Academic Peer Tutor, Quinnipiac University Learning Commons, Hamden, CT - Tutored students one on one and in groups in: biology, math, chemistry, English, and writing. Previously, I tutored high school students at a high performing high school in Massachusetts. I have four plus years of tutoring experience, so I would love to continue tutoring students in my spare time. I find it to be very rewarding, especially when students have that "light bulb" moment when they've solved a problem for the first time! Relevant Coursework: Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Neurobiology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry I, Biochemistry II, Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II. I was only one of three students in my entire department to graduate with biological departmental honors. I am also a member of the Beta Beta Beta biological honors society and the Phi Sigma biological research honors society. I also studied Spanish for 8 years and used to conduct political interviews over the phone in Spanish.

Hobbies
I really enjoy cooking, running, photography, reading, writing, and being at the beach. I am originally from Massachusetts, so I am enjoying exploring the Pacific Northwest. I struggled a lot in some subjects, particularly math, however, in the end I ended up doing just fine. I understand first hand that certain concepts do not come easy, so having been both a struggling student turned successful and experienced tutor has allowed me great empathy.
