I am a tutor located in Seattle, WA. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. I excel at tutoring a variety of subjects, but I really enjoy working with students on improving their English and Writing skills. I also enjoy Algebra, Biology, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Spanish, and Anatomy. Throughout college I tutored other college students in the areas of Math, Biology, Chemistry, and English. I believe each student learns differently, and tutoring should not only cater to the individual learning style of each student, but also help them strive for excellence in all areas of their life. I help students understand concepts, while building a relationship similar to that of a coach or mentor. I use emotional intelligence to gauge the student's level of understanding, and I adjust my teaching style and pace to best match their needs. I understand that for some, these topics can be daunting subjects to master. Struggling in any area of academics can affect the student's overall confidence and self-esteem. I am able to relate to those students. I use my positive attitude toward learning to help motivate and encourage others to excel beyond their academic pursuits and to apply those ideals into all areas of life.
