Experience
While at Seattle University, I pursued a B.S. in chemistry and went on to graduate in August 2014. I actually obtained my tutoring skills among my peers and in academic settings.Primarily, I have helped others who needed some assistance with physical sciences such as chemistry. This is truly a joy for me as I enjoy assisting people who want to increase their knowledge base in the sciences. The realm of the sciences includes a wide range of fascinating information, which means that all I as a tutor need to do is to present the material in a format that students will get the most out of, and at a rate where students will not be overwhelmed with data. While tutoring is serious business, I strive to ensure that the environment is as relaxed as possible, and I definitely seek to be as patient as I can since not all students learn at the same pace. Exerting pressure to push students to excel is one thing; applying too much pressure to the point where the learning environment no longer serves the needs of students is another. So I do not apply unnecessary, unproductive pressure, which is what I credit to having been successful at tutoring students. When I'm not in the classroom working with students, I like hiking, exercising, socializing with pals, and PC building.
