University of Washington-Seattle Campus - BA, English Literature and Language

I graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. I minored in Music. During my last quarter at college I interned teaching ESL in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. I enjoy studying any type of genre of literature. The most impactful experience in literacy is something that deeply resonates and inspires a reader to write their own story. I advise students to be detailed and creative when writing an essay. Adding something personal also makes for good writing. Powerful essays are usually written by using instincts. When tutoring, I seek to find an experience that will ignite something creative in the essay.I have a passion for travel, and connecting with people of diverse cultures and ages. When I completed high school I backpacked through Europe. I spent the summer in Russia at a children's camp. I studied abroad and learned social justice in India. When I am not out traveling, I am having fun planning future trips. In my free time I like to hike, read, and play piano. I also enjoy finding new music to listen to.
