Experience

I'm a math and science tutor who recently graduated from Washington State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. I'm originally from Juneau, Alaska, and spent time teaching middle school and high school classes in the Juneau area. I specialize in math tutoring, and regularly help students taking pre-algebra, algebra I and II, geometry, elementary and middle school math, pre-calculus, and trigonometry. I understand that learning math can be difficult, but I believe that students can grasp the concept that they are working on with a little patience and practice. For me, the most rewarding part of teaching comes when you can see that your student really understands something new. I also have extensive experience tutoring students in science, physical science, and physics, and I'm available to tutor college students taking industrial engineering and mechanical engineering classes.Currently, I'm taking a break from my career in engineering to enjoy everything that the Pacific Northwest has to offer and pursue a few of my own personal interests. In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, running, and kayaking. I also enjoy traveling, attending cultural events, and exploring the city life surrounding Seattle.
