Occidental College - BA, Biology

Due to my love of nature, I attended Occidental College for my bachelor's degree in biology. As an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to work in ecology and neurobiology labs. I also had the opportunity to research tropical canopy trees in Costa Rica. Following graduation, I taught high school anatomy and biology, along with AP biology, as a member of Teach for America. When I work with students, my focus is on helping them develop a solid understanding of the subject. When students fully understand the topic, they are able to apply their knowledge and the skills they developed in future subjects. I also include activities and other interesting and fun elements to my sessions. When I have free time, I like to get outdoors and hike, ski, and swim. I also enjoy reading and the Los Angeles Lakers.
