I am a tutor with extensive experience studying psychology and science. I graduated with honors from Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in social sciences, with an emphasis in special education, psychology, and human development. I have four years of experience teaching in a special education context, where I taught social skills, math, writing, and reading. During this time, I also gained experience helping students prepare for tests. I am in the process of completing a master's degree in occupational therapy. I enjoy helping students reach their goals, and I am comfortable teaching a variety of subjects, including anatomy, biology, physiology, reading, writing, psychology, and phonics. I am also able to help students write college essays because it wasn't that long ago when I was working on the same thing. I like to learn just as much as I like to teach, and I feel like tutoring can be just as much of a learning experience for the tutor as it is for the student. In my free time, I like to hike, run, and explore. I also like playing the saxophone, piano, and guitar. When I want quiet time, I like to spend time at home with my pet dog and rabbits.
