Private tutor in Seattle, WA
University of Washington-Seattle Campus - BA, History
Education is an invaluable tool, one that I am eager to assist in teaching others. I graduated from the University of Washington-Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts in history and a minor in Spanish. I'm currently in Seattle working towards a masters in teaching. In Costa Rica, I worked as a TEFL-certified English teacher. I worked with high school students working on their language requirements and professionals who wanted a wider skill set. I am most interested in tutoring American and European History subjects as, ultimately, I want to be a high school history teacher. However, I am fully capable of providing tutoring assistance in English-related subjects, such as reading, writing, and adult literacy. I am fluent in Spanish and highly capable of teaching basic to advanced Spanish, as well as conversational Spanish. In addition, I can help students improve in ESL/ELL, AP English and history courses, and college-level world history. My tutoring style is very flexible, as I base my sessions around the student as an individual. I work to provide them with the tools needed to succeed. When I'm not tutoring, I am a big fan of experiencing the outdoors. I love watching and playing sports, going kayaking, and traveling the world.
