I love to work with students one-on-one, because I believe it provides them with the opportunity to have their academic needs met. I like to move at the student's pace, and make them feel as comfortable as possible. I have taught in various parts of the world, including K-5 when I lived in London, and 4th grade in Somalia. I truly love helping my students gain a better understanding of Literacy, and how it can help their lives. I enjoy helping my students in anything related to Reading and Phonics, and can honestly say that Literacy and ESL are passions of mine. I always want my students to have something to look forward to in our sessions together.I offer tutoring in ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Art, English, and Drawing. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education. I am also certified to teach in the state of Washington. Currently, I am working on my English Language Learners credential.When I'm not busy working with students, I love to cook and bake, practice yoga, spend time with my cat, and learn about different languages.
