EducationUniversity of Washington-Seattle Campus - B.A, Politcal Science
ExperienceI am in my final year at the University of Washington, where I am currently working towards a bachelor's degree in political science with a focus on society, law, and justice. Throughout my experience as a student, I've been able to help a lot of classmates improve their understanding of various subjects. While I enjoy teaching as a whole, my favorite subjects to tutor are English and history. Along with working in the classroom, I am also active in the community, where I volunteer at homeless shelters and perform other activities to help make a positive difference. One of my biggest passions in life is English. I love writing and reading literature. For this reason, these subjects are some of my favorites to tutor. I believe that the key to success in the classroom is to come up with a wide range of activities and exercises that get students moving around and taking a hands-on approach to learning. For this reason, I also try to customize every lesson so that it suits the needs of the individual. When students get the chance to work alongside a dedicated teacher, they're more likely to succeed. Along with reading and writing, I also enjoy boxing and listening to music.
