Experience
I want to be a tutor because I am passionate about education. Tutors have been a great help to me throughout my academic career and I want to "pay it forward". I have volunteered at K-8 schools in Seattle, WA and Syracuse, NY. My tasks have varied from in class assistance with school work, office work, noting taking, and aiding a school counselor balance group and individual sessions with students, working with parents and assisting with after school programs. As a graduate counseling student part of my goal is to educate and advocate for the people I work with, whether it be academically, socially and/or emotionally.
