Experience
I have taught 4th grade for the last 4 years and will be moving down to 3rd grade this coming school year. My district, Tukwila, is the most diverse in the nation, giving me sufficient experience reaching students of many cultures and various native languages. For the last two years I have also taught after-school math and test prep, as well as Summer School for low leveled students in my district. I also tutor in my hometown of Issaquah for several families. Since that is a fairly far distance from my current home and workplace, I am looking to tutor closer to the Seattle area. I hope to bring in extra income in order to pay off my student loans and eventually put myself through a masters program.

Sunday after 11AM, Mon/Wed/Fri after 2PM, Saturday after 10AM

Hobbies
I love watching movies, t.v. and reading. I am currently trying to read all of the books in my classroom library in order to be more knowledgeable for my future students. I love anything Harry Potter and scrapbooking too! I have no trouble tapping into a child's interests and establishing a mutual rapport, which helps ease the stress of learning and in turn, makes it fun!
