Private tutor in Seattle, WA

Education

Master of Science in Applied Physics, University of Washington, 2013. Bachelor of Science, Physics and Astronomy, University of Washington, 2010. Graduated from Decatur High School in 2006 where I was 6th in my class of about 200 seniors.

Experience

5 years experience privately tutoring middle-school and high-school age students in Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus and Physics. I love teaching math. I've developed a true passion for methodical teaching over the years and have become a reliable source of knowledge for my students. I hope to teach calculus and physics at the community college or high school level full-time someday, but during this point in my career path, one-on-one tutoring is perfect for me. I scored 1890 on my SAT back in 2005. My math score was 700 (out of 800).

Hobbies

My favorite hobbies are amateur astronomy, basketball, softball. I try to stargaze as much as I can in the summer months. I play basketball year-round and I play league softball throughout spring and summer. I'm an enthusiastic, energetic, passionate team-player who brings a fun atmosphere to math and science during every session. I'm always in a good mood and while the subject may be "hard", my sessions are fun and light.
