I have my Masters in Education and over twelve years of teaching and tutoring experience. I enjoy encouraging and supporting students in gaining the confidence and mastery to take their academic performance to the next level. I cater my approach to the learning style and unique strengths of each of my students and I understand the importance of students feeling comfortable and supported as individuals. Drawing from an academic background in psychology and education, I am meta-cognitive in my approach, with the goal being to discover which strategies work best to support your student in achieving understanding and mastery. My ultimate objective is for students to be independent in their learning and apply the methods and techniques that fit their learning style across all content areas. In this way, they can take their skills and understanding to the next level throughout their future academic careers. A strong academic foundation and extensive experience in the field enable me to engage and support students at any stage of the learning process. I am patient and can explain any concept in different ways. During the course of our work together, my students see dramatic improvement in their efficiency and grades, and I have noticed a related and positive shift in their attitude towards academics.
