I have prepared students for more than a dozen general knowledge standardized exams, such as the SAT I, ACT, ISEE, PSAT, SSAT, GRE, LSAT, GMAT, MCAT, for 15 years with both small companies like the Harvard Student Agencies, as well as large corporations, like Kaplan. My preparatory background spans national standardized exam content engineering, professional student response scoring, and exam preparation. It’s deeply gratifying to be able to share my knowledge with families seeking not only general tutorials, but also exam preparation and college admissions counseling. I’m particularly proud that the families I've worked with have consistently won admissions to among their top choice colleges, including the Ivy League. Hobbies
I'm an avid organic gardener and have become increasingly active in green architecture and sustainable living--both locally and regionally. I'm also involved with several environmental stewardship committees locally and nationally. Though a political maverick, I take my responsibilities to my communities, and in particular to all youths I'm fortunate to work with, very seriously. It's always my goal to enjoy myself in any endeavor I undertake, and I'm very proud that the young people I've worked with over the past 15 years have almost universally found my enthusiasm for learning inspiring. My goal is to transcend traditional pedagogy by exploring the individual student's native interests, inspiring each student to become a devotee to life-long scholarship, with a goal of translating knowledge into solutions for countless social, scientific, technological, and ecological problems. All while having fun, of course.
