Experience
I reside in Seattle, WA, and graduated from Seattle University with Departmental Honors. I earned my bachelor's degree in philosophy, with a concentration in ethics and analytic philosophy; I additionally earned a minor in political science, and I will soon begin law school. I have both formal and informal experience in tutoring, and I volunteered for two years in the Seattle Children's Literacy Project assisting elementary school children with reading and mathematics skills. I have tutored many classmates and colleagues with academic papers and introductory formal logic courses. I am also able to tutor mathematics through algebra 1, phonics, editing, and preparation for SAT and LSAT tests in verbal sections, and LSAT logic games/analytical reasoning. Though I most enjoy essay writing, I do enjoy helping others in all areas of academia that I am able. Being able to see a student turn their ideas into a creation is a very satisfying experience, and I truly enjoy being a part of this process. I also realize that each student is unique and possesses their own learning style and individual learning issues. I believe that with a focus on the individual and the integration of fun into the learning process, there can be great success. When not working or attending class, I like to read novels, enjoy crafts and other hands-on projects, play the bass guitar, and enjoy solving mind puzzles.
