Experience

I did my postgraduate studies at the University of Washington, where I received my master's degree in chemistry. While at the university, I lectured chemistry classes, conducted lab sessions, and privately tutored students in need of assistance. Upon graduating, I worked in the software industry. As a result, I re-enrolled into graduate school and am now undergoing a master's degree in physics. As a teacher, I aim to help students find their passion by providing quality lessons. I have adapted my teaching philosophy from a popular academy's method of using a visual learning style. I believe it is important to use a wide variety of methods and teaching styles when teaching science and mathematics. By doing so, students are able to explore different ways of learning until they find a style that is comfortable for them. Ultimately, I believe that everyone learns differently, and it is important for the teacher to customize his or her lesson to fit the individual's needs. While I was born in the United Kingdom, I spent the bulk of my youth living in Paris. Through this experience, I have been able to learn how to fluently speak French. I have been living in the United States for the past ten years. In my spare time, I like to go hiking, ride bicycles, and play board games.
