Experience
I am a tutor with a passion for music. Although music is what my studies have focused on, I still love other subjects like math, science, and history. I'm available to tutor a wide variety of subjects including algebra, elementary math, middle school math, pre-calculus, reading, writing, English, music theory, and more. I'd also be glad to help students with test prep for the SAT, ACT, or graduate school exams. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and then went on to receive a Master of Music through the University of Washington. I continued on at UW where I am currently pursuing my D.M.A. During my time at UW I have taught several courses on subjects like history, composition, and music theory. I have experience working with students of all ages and skill levels as a biology and social studies tutor. As a tutor I like to use puzzles and example problems to help my students learn. I believe that learning how to think concepts through in general is equally as important as learning specific subject material. I help people learn how to think in different ways. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and running. I am a big fan of crossword puzzles.
