Experience
Hi! I'm Paul from Seattle, WA. My tutoring experience has shown me that the best way to assist a student in the learning process is to dissect a problem and then slowly rebuild the pieces while examining each one. I think this builds great study skills as well as decreases the anxiety a student may have about learning difficult material. It also helps to reinforce the material for longer than merely test memorization. I feel that connecting to my students individually is imperative; I like to let them know I am a patient and compassionate instructor who is greatly rewarded by the opportunity to be a part of their educational journey and success. I am a graduate of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and have experience working with students of any age group and numerous courses. I am able to tutor elementary and middle school mathematics, pre-algebra through algebra 2, geometry, trigonometry, biology, critical reading, and technology and computer science. I am also available to help with test prep in the SAT mathematics and verbal skills, and ACT mathematics exams. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, computer science. I love to learn, live, and laugh!
