As a bilingual tutor, I enjoy the challenge of taking a seemingly impossible assignment, task, or subject and explaining it clearly and creatively. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both English and Spanish, and I can offer extensive help in literary skills for elementary school, middle school, high school, and college students. I can assist my pupils in a variety of subjects, such as elementary math, middle school math, reading, writing, essay editing, phonics, literature, grammar and mechanics, music, music theory, creative writing, expository writing, literary analysis, persuasive writing, poetry, world literature, pre-algebra, algebra, Spanish, IB Extended Essay, IB Music SL, preparation for the ACT, ACCUPLACER, GRE, ISEE, SAT, and SSAT, general study skills, and writing college application essays. Without a doubt, my favorite part of working with my students is seeing the understanding dawn in their eyes for the first time and witnessing their newly developed confidence and pride in their growing academic skills. When I'm not working with my pupils, I enjoy knitting, hiking, gardening, reading poetry, and playing piano.
