I tutored my peers all through high school, and after I graduated I started giving lessons to children as well. The reason why I started tutoring was the sensation I got every time one of my peers called me and said they did a great job on their test. It is the perfect job because you do not just help children learn things, but also help them gain confidence and sense of accomplishment. My ultimate goal when tutoring is to establish independence in students so they can learn how to overcome obstacles and challenges on their own. The reason why I mostly tutor math is because learning it helps you develop logical thinking skills, which are useful in many different subjects. Through my education I had various math classes (Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry...), which I always excelled in. My students can expect a kind, patient tutor, that will try their hardest to make learning a fun experience.
